Life Actuarial generally covers a wide scope including group life, annuities, pricing and product designing, valuation and financial reporting, solvency assessment, risk management, investment strategy, capital management. One of the key important roles of a Life Actuary is to determine the profitability of company’s life insurance products, which includes development of actuarial models to measure profitability, determining premium rates, key pricing assumption such as mortality etc. A Life Actuary also plays an important role in capital reporting, surplus management, risk management and ALM which makes them a great asset to our clients who are insurers, bankers, brokers, reinsurers , rating agencies, regulators and consultancies.
